General Spewage

Nothin’ worth blogging about.

Going back to a static site — 1999 here we come. ‘Nuf said.

I really don’t think …

… anyone reads my blog anymore. :)

Anyway, CorSport has moved the offices and shop to a new location, we like it. We also just released an iPhone app, jump on the iTunes App Store and search for CorSport or Performance Parts, pretty slick little app.

Things over at the skateboard shop have been progressing nicely… can’t really complain, the recent cold weathers been putting a hamper on things but that’s to be expected in Colorado.

Business in general has been an up and down proposition lately, it comes and goes. Times are tough with the economy struggling to recover but overall this year is much better than last year, glad for that. Here’s to hoping for a quick and continued economic recovery.

2009

Is it just me or has the speed of time doubled?

I must be getting old… yeah, that’s it for sure.

Anyone who knows me knows I love to cuss. What a wonderful fucking site.

Last.fm, you should know what it is.

Last.fm is a really cool site. Yeah, that about sums it up.

It is the ‘end all’ of free online music. Doesn’t get any cheaper, better looking or more usable.

Enjoy.

25 Year Anniversary of the Mac

Today is the 25 Year Anniversary of the Macintosh… as I sit and ponder what this means to me, I realize I can sum it up with one simple sentence:

Without the Macintosh I would not be who I am or where I am today.

Thank you Apple.

An Incredible Visionary

Silver has devised a pair of glasses which rely on the principle that the fatter a lens the more powerful it becomes. Inside the device’s tough plastic lenses are two clear circular sacs filled with fluid, each of which is connected to a small syringe attached to either arm of the spectacles.

The wearer adjusts a dial on the syringe to add or reduce amount of fluid in the membrane, thus changing the power of the lens. When the wearer is happy with the strength of each lens the membrane is sealed by twisting a small screw, and the syringes removed. The principle is so simple, the team has discovered, that with very little guidance people are perfectly capable of creating glasses to their own prescription.

Incredible. More about it here.
